Terms & Conditions

​(Effective for all bookings made with OurTaleOfTravel)
 

Welcome to OurTaleOfTravel. By booking a tour, itinerary, or service through us, you agree to the terms and conditions stated below. These conditions are designed to protect both the traveller and the company and ensure a transparent, fair, and safe travel experience.
 

1. Booking Policy

  • A minimum 50% deposit of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking if made 21 days or more before travel.

  • The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 21 days prior to departure.

  • Bookings made within 21 days of travel require 100% advance payment at the time of confirmation.

  • All payments must be made through authorized channels approved by OurTaleOfTravel.

  • Failure to make payments within the specified timeline will result in automatic cancellation of the booking, and any amount paid will be forfeited as per the cancellation policy.
     

2. Pricing & Inclusions

  • Tour prices are quoted based on current exchange rates, fuel costs, taxes, and supplier rates. Any increase in these prior to departure may result in a price revision.

  • Unless otherwise specified, package inclusions generally cover accommodation, transfers, meals, sightseeing, and applicable taxes as mentioned in the final itinerary.

  • Exclusions typically include personal expenses, visa fees, insurance, and items not specifically listed under “Inclusions.”
     

3. Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days before departure: 10% of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

  • 15–30 days before departure: 30% of the total tour cost will be charged.

  • Less than 15 days before departure: The tour cost is non-refundable.

  • In case of no-show, delayed arrival, or early departure, no refunds or adjustments will be made.

  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 30 working days after written cancellation request.
     

4. Travel Documents & Requirements

  • Each traveller is responsible for ensuring that their passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of return and that they possess all necessary visas, permits, and insurance.

  • OurTaleOfTravel is not liable for any losses due to incorrect documentation, visa refusal, or delayed issuance.
     

5. Itinerary & Service Modifications

  • The company reserves the right to modify, change, or cancel any part of the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays, weather conditions, or operational issues.

  • Alternate arrangements will be made wherever possible, but no refunds will be granted for unused services.

  • The sequence of sightseeing and activities may be altered to ensure smooth operations.
     

6. Force Majeure

  • OurTaleOfTravel shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury, or additional expense arising from causes beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, political unrest, weather conditions, flight cancellations, or government restrictions.
     

7. Health, Safety & Conduct

  • Travelers are expected to maintain decent conduct and follow local laws during the tour.

  • The company will not be responsible for any injury, illness, or loss resulting from failure to comply with safety instructions or engaging in hazardous activities not included in the itinerary.

  • It is strongly recommended that all travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and loss of baggage.
     

8. Liability Disclaimer

  • OurTaleOfTravel acts solely as an intermediary between the traveller and independent suppliers such as hotels, transport companies, and local operators.

  • While every effort is made to ensure quality service, the company is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by these third parties.

  • Any dispute regarding the service quality must be addressed directly with the respective supplier.
     

9. Changes by the Traveller

  • Any changes requested by the traveller after booking confirmation (such as date changes, destination swaps, or room upgrades) will be subject to availability and applicable charges as determined by the suppliers.
     

10. Refunds & Non-Utilization of Services

  • No refunds will be provided for partially utilized services or unutilized portions of the tour (e.g., missed meals, sightseeing, or transport) for any reason.

  • If refunds are applicable, they will be processed after deducting applicable service fees, taxes, and cancellation charges.
     

11. Jurisdiction & Legal Matters

  • All disputes arising from this contract or related to the travel services shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your City, India].

  • The company’s liability shall be limited only to the total cost of the services booked through OurTaleOfTravel.
     

12. Agreement to Terms

By confirming a booking with OurTaleOfTravel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions mentioned above, including payment, cancellation, and liability clauses.

OurTaleOfTravel reserves the right to update, modify, or change these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Travelers are advised to review this page before confirming their booking.
